Summertime small dinner part

Summertime in Santa Barbara is always a good time to get together with friends. I created these pieces to compliment the lush grounds of this estate. With an all white/green theme they turned out beautiful.

I wanted to create a very "ruffled" romantic look. I used groupings of white avalanche rose, white hydrangea, white lisianthus, and green docked pieces of bells of Ireland, with fresh ivy geranium leaves as well some green pittosporum leaves. I added the fern curls as a last minute thought just to add a little something different.
What you can't see from the picture was this outdoor covered patio area had these beautiful wooden beams, they were the same color as the long wooden container. My client requested that the piece very low as she wanted to be able to see her quests from across the table. She used rattan place mats with turquoise linen napkins, and hand made turquoise stone napkin rings.  I'm sure it all came together just beautifully.

CosBar Industry gathering

I just wanted to say thank you to Armondo Martinez the (owner of Alegria by Design), for throwing a girl's dream party. He included our favorite things, make-up, drinks and magnificent women.  If you get a chance please take a look at his website, alegriabydesign.com!

Here are some pics of the flowers that I did for the Event!

Summer time Bridal Shower!

What a wonderful time of year to do a bridal shower for a young Bride to be! The colors for the event were pale yellow and cream, however I found that adding some hues of peach and orange would greatly add to the excitement of summertime and the fun of this day. It was all so lovingly hosted at The Montecito Country Club.

I ordered Carmel Antike from Alexander Farms in Colombia, as I thought this would be a perfect combination with the South American Sahara roses, pale yellow and peach stock, and the delicate touch of dusty miller. All of theses would set on top of sliced oranges and lemons.

The hostess choose to use Honey Provincial candles by Votivo (one of my favorite scents :))
I placed those on the table as well in their organza bags and filled with leftover rose petals. All napkin rings were from the hostesses own yummy collection!

The cake was made by Katie at Montecito Confections, one of Santa Barbara's finest bakers.
I adorned the cake with some pale yellow California roses along with some South American Finesse Roses, and surrounded it with rose petals.

That is Jennifer, glowing over her beautiful day!

In addition to the flowers I created a wish tree (better yet a rose bush) for the guests to give their wishes for the bride and groom. I wrapped the pot in moss and and hand made all cards.

My new blog...hope to inspire!!

Today is the day that I decided to share my love for flowers and my love for creating art through flowers.  I feel like my work is an extension of me, all that I produce is from a place of joy!  There is a profound feeling of satisfaction that happens when you are able to do something you love for a living. As our lives are in a constant state of movement and decisions, I find that my release in life is viewing natures creation of beauty... flowers! My hope is to share this with you all!
